Antique Iron Beds

I admit it -I'm a hoarder- I hoarder of many things-beautiful, detailed iron beds is one of them. I have several beds sitting next to my smokehouse waiting for something-but what is it? I've seen people make benches, fences, and more out of these. But I like them just as beds-and I have a few more in the garage-someday I'll get an idea for these wonderful beds!

  4. Well, how lucky are you! I don't think I could wait to use these. Room dividers, message boards, gates, I can think of so many uses, and I agree with my friend Carola, one would have to be used in the garden....

  11. What a great collection to have. They are really a piece of art. I like the fence idea and they would also look great as a backdrop for a garden. Thanks for sharing!!!

  12. Wow!! They are super pretty ~ you can always put them up as beds in the garden and plant flowers in them. I did that with a small dolls bed (about 2 feet) but how cool would it look to have a full sized bed filled with flowers??? Pretty awesome.

  17. woot! love the beds.. yes I have seen them used in gardens, hung on porches with pictures and planters, hung on a wall with collectibles and photos, and of course as beds and benches.
Some people use one as the backboard, and cut another in half for sides as a Daybed..
So many ideas...just got to imagine, yes?
Thanks so much for visiting...and, yes my pooches are my favorite whites too, although they can cause a lot of tumbleweeds.... :-)

  19. Hang on to them until an idea comes to you....I always get so mad at myself when I get in to one of my "down size" moods and get rid of my great junk I don't know what to do with...and then an idea comes to me. These are beautiful!
    Happy WW1
