Spooky Monday -Come and Sit a Spell Chair

I picked this chair up from the trash and knew instantly what I wanted to do with it. It didn't have a seat in it so my Dad cut some plywood for it. Originally, he cut the plywood and covered it with some vinyl-and wanted to paint it white -not knowing what I had planned. He's my main fix it up man-we just don't always communicate to good. So he took the cushion and vinyl off and left it black. I love how it turned out! Thanks Dad!

  3. :) I'm visiting you from MaryBennet's blog. I love the chair. You sound like me, I am always trying to pick up OLD chairs that have been tossed out. My husband will want to fix up the ones that I get, and I don't mind him replacing the seat, regluing etc, BUT DON'T PAINT IT WHITE! I like to have fun, and yeah, we don't always see eye to eye! In fact, he HATES my art/style. LOL!!! 30 years later ....

  4. Love that chair! The whole setting, really, but I'm thinking I just might have to borrow the chair idea. I've got one I was considering tossing. Something's really bad when I think of throwing it away, but this might just be the perfect use for it.

I've enjoyed scrolling through your blog.

  5. What an absolutely wonderful chair. I am a sucker for old chairs that have been thrown out. I have them hanging on my walls all over the house.
Of course no one understands that, but at Halloween that one would be great for some floating ghost to stop by and Sit a Spell.
    Just enchanting.
