1876 Victorian Scrapbook

I bought this 1876 scrapbook(it's inscribed on the back cover-should have taken a picture of that) last Saturday. I almost didn't buy it-$36 and 20% off-I couldn't leave it there-the pictures inside are worth more than that(don't worry-I'm not going to take it apart!). I love the cover with the little girl(?) in the pink coat and hat(you knew that would get me!) but the real treasure is inside-all the time it took to collect and paste these images in-kinda like what we do today-except I'm more of the old-fashioned kind of girl to like the old way.
So here it is-page by page so you can see how it's put together.......
these full page graphics are amazing!

Earlier in the day I bought these 6 for $4.00. I'm going to make some scrap ornaments with the bigger ones with some vintage tinsel I have and the smaller ones-I'll think of something, but the book will stay in tact!

  4. What a wonderful book. Filled with so many things by hands that meant so much to them back when. You would think someone in the family would wanted to keep it.
