As I sat at my computer last nite(without Miss Kitty on my lap) I saw these three little faces staring back at me. Life does go on even if we want it to stop. I felt that in the hour before Miss Kitty was gone. God just stop the clock. I don't want to take her. Rewind the years, something. One thing I've learned from having pets is that there are always more out there that need us. Especially the ones that have been abandoned just like these little ones. It will never replace the emptiness in my heart from the loss of Miss Kitty, but it does help fill the loneliness of the house. I don't know how people can only have one pet or two. It so much easier with three. I learned that a long time ago from a good friend. If you loose one, there's still two left behind to help each other mourn. If you've never felt the love of a pet(or furry child), you really don't know what you're missing. The pain is great when they are gone-but it's all worth it just to have their love and companionship!

So true!!! My thoughts are with you!
ReplyDeleteO dear one, my heart goes out to you over this terrible loss. New friends will help somewhat to fill the void of loss and make new happy places in your heart.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about Miss Kitty. I truly understand. When our first German Shepard, Sasha died, my brother took me to pet smart to get me out of the house and buy some carpet cleaner. As I walked in the doors open and there was a 1 yr old German Shepard female for adoption! I call Bob and needless to say, I had her on a leash, crying and adopting her in about 15 min. She rode so well in the car, went in the house and did not cause a problem. When Bob got home that night, he was so upset about having to put Sasha to sleep earlier...but he walked in knelt down to meet Heidi and she gave him a big kiss..I will never forget that..it was what we needed. we were only without a dog for 1 1/2 hrs!
ReplyDeleteShe is so loved, and getting older she is 11, I worry all the time about her and can't imagine not having her but as I watch her sit in the yard i know time is marching on. She is so loved and gives so much love..it is priceless.
Again, so sorry..now give those pups a kiss, they know your hurting.
Oh Rebecca...I'm so sorry to hear about Miss Kitty.
ReplyDeleteYour little fuzz-butt was so lucky to have someone like you in her life.
I hope you are doing okay.
Big hugs.
Debbie
Rebecca,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear of Miss Kitty's passing. It is almost a year since we lost our sweet Savanna and having had to go thru that pain twice, we are now a pet free family. At this stage of our lives it is easier but we were blessed with having 2 wonderful dogs that we will NEVER forget. My small back yard cottage garden is in honor of them...
Hugs,
Debbie
