A Tribute to Kitty

I'll miss you Miss Kitty with all my heart. You have been exactly what I wanted in a first pet and there will never be another who can replace you or be just like you. I hope to see you waiting for me at Heaven's gate and I hope that you can run and play and torment all those other cats and dogs up there like you did here on earth. As I sit here with you on my lap typing in this last hour with you I cannot imagine the days ahead without you being on my lap. How anyone could have given you up is beyond me-but that day was one of my happiest when you came to live with us. Although you haven't been very loving until the last 6 months, I will treasure those the most. The times you finally let me pet and hold you without biting or scratching me. The times you would hit my leg with your paw so I would lift you up to sit with me. The many times you climbed over and over the baby gate with so much determination and strength. I know if I was a cat-I'd be so much like you-and that's why I've loved you so much. I've understood you and you're little Miss Priss attitude. May God watch over you in heaven and although I know you weren't mine forever-I so hate to let you go. Although I've never been a crier, I'm choking back the tears I feel even before your gone because I know I won't have the strength to write this after your gone. And if a few tears fall on your beautiful coat, you'll take them with you when you go. All my love goes with you!

  1. Dear Sweet Rebecca,
I am giving you a big hug and I am so very sorry over Miss Kitty. I know she is running through heaven saying, "I can't believe all of this is "mine."
Loosing a pet is just like losing a member of the family. It hurts. I read on one blog where a lady who loses a pet, makes a little shelf in their memory...it was kelee cadillac that did that.
I WILL PUT YOU ON MY PRAYER LIST.
I love cats and dogs but especially cats.

  3. Oh I'm so very sorry for your loss, what a great Tribute to Miss Kitty. This hits Home for me too since on Memorial Day we lost our Kitty, Rat Boy, who we'd had for 20 years. It still seems so very strange not having her around *yes Rat BOY was a Girl... long story*... they become such a part of our lives and Family don't they. I'm sure Rat Boy was there to greet Miss Kitty and welcome her to Paradise... My thoughts and Prayers are with you during this most difficult time...

  8. I cried as I read about kitty. I never have a pet until 9 months ago. Juju had brought so much joy to my empty house. There are no babies here, just the two of us and now this little dog we have grown to love more than anything, so I understand your pain, I hope I don't get to experience it for a very long time. I believe there are pets in Heaven. Blessings and comfort from God to you, Marta.
